What is the role of a Building Engineer?

Building Engineer Duties

- Monitor and optimize building automation and energy management systems.

Building Engineer Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school certification preferred.
- At least 3 years of experience in building maintenance or engineering.
- Expertise in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
- Experience with building automation systems and energy efficiency initiatives.
- Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.
- Relevant certifications such as HVAC Technician, CFC, or Stationary Engineer License preferred.
- Experience in commercial, residential, or industrial facility maintenance.
- Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
