What does a Human Resources Project Administrator do?
A Human Resources Project Administrator supports the Human Resources Department by providing professional, analytical, and technical support to HR related special projects.
An HR Project Administrator is responsible for gathering information from various stakeholders while contributing to the entire project lifecycle. They are highly involved with developing, coordinating and implementing all tasks that relate to specific transformational, strategic, and technology-related projects.
HR Project Administrator Responsibilities
- Support the HR Project Manager and the HR leadership team with the planning, management, execution, and monitoring of projects.
- Coordinate and control the end-to-end process of capturing data for all key project documents, including but not limited to problem statements, business cases, project charters, business requirements, change requests, status reports, milestones, achievements, benefits, risks, and stakeholder registers.
- Develop, maintain, review, and ensure accurate and timely completion of project documentation.
- Support HR transformation initiatives and business-wide continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support the HR Project Manager and project team members with the creation and improvement of processes, procedures, and tools in collaboration with HR staff.
- Create and maintain project schedules, project status reports, and updates.
HR Project Administrator Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- At least two years of demonstrated experience as an HR Project Admin or Project Coordinator.
- Experience supporting projects using hybrid project methodologies.
- Knowledge of HR principles, practices, and employment laws.
- Strong computer, tech, and data management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
